How to setup dual monitor in Amd graphics card ExplainedHi Good Evening and welcome back to my channeltonight i will teach you how to setup a dual monitor. (No system POST on the monitor at all) Replace the adapter, cables, etc.I have bought a VGA to HDMI cable (which I believe is useless) and a DVI 24+1 (which fits into the DVI under 1) to VGA adapter. My first monitor is connected to 1 (see picture) and works fine, the second monitor also works fine while connected to 1. EDIT: Here is AMD APU Integrated Graphics driver from AMD Download page. I've tried hooking up dual monitors to my AMD Radeon HD 7700 but I can't get it to work. Generally 2 displays is the minimum for most laptops. Some laptops does have a limit to how many Displays it can connect to. Swap out the monitors if the second one doesn't output at all If both are showing and there are no errors in Device Manager now see if you can hook up 2 Monitors without issue.unless you mentioned that "the monitor outputs" somewhere and I missed it. While I hold a little doubt the hardware is at fault here, it is entirely possible. But first, you should try replacing the first monitor with the second ("dead") one to see if it even works at all. As mentioned above, I would still definitely try to clean out the connectors to make sure there isn't a piece of dust in between. I personally would replace the adapter, since they seem to have the highest failure rate in my set-ups. However, if your second monitor is completely dead, I would look into checking for hardware failure on the monitor, the video card's DVI port, the adapter, and any cables in between. So you could easily connect two monitors, either to the DVI or the DisplayPort sockets they don't have to be on the same socket (so you could have 1 DVI and 1 DP). I'm not sure if they show up in device manager, but I do know that Piriform's Speccy does show connected monitors, so I imagine Windows device manager does as well. Either check the AMD Catalyst Control Centre, Windows Screen Resolution configuration, or even check Device Manager to see if they show up. As well, ensure that Windows is recognizing the monitors in the first place. In that case, I cannot offer much advice beyond cleaning out the connectors between the monitor, adapter, and video card itself. If your BIOS outputs to both monitors (which it should, since that seems to be the default with more modern boards), then that confirms that everything is working. From my understanding, you are attempting to connect two monitors to your new discrete card and then use that to manage displays. ![]()
